I oversaw the entire design output of the advertising department alongside many other additional projects at the company. My role encompassed managing diverse projects, from client advertisements to in-house marketing materials. Alongside this, I made an impact by improving our branding and the consistency of our brand guidelines.

Publications
One of my responsibilities involved managing and spearheading the design and production of printed materials published by the Northern Star. Several projects I was tasked with were the housing guide and marketing kit. I worked on these from start to finish.
Housing Guide
The housing guide is a yearly publication that is published for students who are looking to find places to rent. I created and led the production for the entirety of the publication, with over 10,000 copies produced and sent out across the NIU campus. Beyond leading the layout design for the publication, I designed many of the ads featured in it.
Marketing Kit
The marketing kit is a comprehensive guide for customers to gain a better understanding of the rates for purchasing ad spaces/resources through our company. It also serves as a resource for customers to learn more about Northern Star Media, providing information such as what publications we release and when we release them.
Client Ads
I worked with a lot of pre-made ads from clients, but I also designed over 50 unique ads for our clients. I worked with over 15 clients in the DeKalb area ranging from the restaurant industry to local bookstores and gyms. My advertisements helped our customers advertise their services, which consistently helped them increase their outreach.

Sports News Branding
One of my greatest achievements was leading and maintaining a new branding identity for the sports news division. I also took the lead in designing social media graphics before handing the responsibility to the sports news team. Below is an example of the graphics I created during this project.
Promotional Materials
In addition to designing annual publications, graphics, and advertisements, the Northern Star promoted and hosted various events on the NIU campus. I was responsible for creating all promotional materials required for these events, including flyers, social media ads, banners, and website graphics.
