Description
For our final project in user experience studies, my role as lead designer was to develop a sleek and visually appealing website akin to Pinterest, but tailored for fashion enthusiasts. The project centered on our ability to take a prompt and create a usable application out of it within a narrow and tight deadline.

The Problem
Fashion enthusiasts lack a streamlined, dedicated platform to easily create, organize, and share fashion moodboards, similar to a product like Pinterest but specifically tailored to the needs and interests of the fashion community.
The Goals
Develop a cohesive brand aesthetic that reflects the fashion-centric focus of the platform
Prioritize essential functionality such as drag-and-drop moodboard creation, an easy-to-use search/filter system, and the ability to save and edit boards
Overview
Wireframes
When it came to designing the wireframes for FashionGuru, my main priority was ensuring that the UI/UX system was easy to follow, straight to the point, and contained a simple yet organic layout of pictures that helped to keep the process of looking at pictures exciting and intuitive. I translated that visual language on my website and it provides a creative energy all throughout the website.
Branding
Color is an important part of the FashionGuru branding. FashionGuru is a hip website; Therefore, the brand color palette needed to reflect the brand’s value of futurism, coolness, and boldness. The colors of FashionGuru are meant to evoke a sense of coolness, a concept that has always been associated with the fashion world at large.
Type System
The typeface utilized all throughout the website is Avant Gard. This typeface was chosen for its direct correlation to the fashion industry, being notably used for a variety of fashion brands. It instantly communicates its place in the fashion world.
Outcome
FashionGuru successfully delivers a sleek, minimalistic web platform that prioritizes an intuitive user experience for fashion enthusiasts who enjoy creating moodboards. By focusing on a clean, accessible UI/UX, the project achieved its goal of merging the inspiration of Pinterest with a fashion-centric twist, allowing users to seamlessly curate, organize, and share fashion moodboards.
